Cerâmica Ortet Brand Identity

Cerâmica Ortet is a Cape Verdean ceramic studio that celebrates heritage through handmade artistry. Tasked with creating its brand identity, we developed a concept rooted in tradition and storytelling. The tagline, “Nos stória na nos mô” (“Our story in our hands”), guided the creative direction.
The logo features three key ceramic elements: fogareiro (stove), panela (pot), and binde (bowl)—each representing a functional and symbolic part of daily life and cultural memory. This iconographic approach honors the studio’s artisanal nature and deep community connection.
The color palette includes earthy oranges and rich clay tones, evoking fire, soil, and craftsmanship. The typography system combines Chaleum for titles with Montserrat for clarity in body text. Every element of the identity reflects authenticity, heritage, and creative resilience.
